sometimes you are obsessed with these depressing thoughts just as you enjoy the thought of jumping down to the train track the next time the train flashes through in front of you and the accompanying terror.
yet, the reality is your life is good.let’s be serious. it may or may not be better. work is good, family and friends are doing well, you love your girlfriend, you are becoming a better man. you even showered to “new soul” tonight like back in first year college. but it’s an obsession. ppl have different sources for inspirations. maybe you draw inspirations from looking at the world through dark glasses, from singing like a crow, from immersing your ego in an artificially sad atmosphere. so go fuck yourself with your carefully brewed gloom from time to time.
maybe that’s how you are different. how you have not succumbed to the banality of living like a highly achieving intellectual and working like you really knew any shit about this fascinating world. from this perspective, it’s a self-salvage mechanism to some extent. part of you is eating the other part up. part of you is powerful and greedy and seemingly alluring. but if you look close enough, at its very roots, it cannot be plainer. you know where exactly he came from and he has grown along the way. it’s just everywhere. maybe eternal beauty comes at the cost of despair. lose track of your thoughts and….
